As you know, Reneé did a shortfilm called Young(ish). She directed, produced, wrote and designed the costumes. Well done Reneé More about the film, check it out the following infos.
During an afternoon at the beach, an elderly couple transports back to their childhood through the help of a playground pirate ship. When their adult children come to collect them, the cyclical nature of life is exposed.
In early 2012, I became interested in the passage of time, specifically in relation to human life. I thought of my aging grandparents; their ideas alive, their physical bodies, failing. I watched as they would make one another laugh while discussing the installation of an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator into one’s body; I marveled their ability to access inner light, the “child inside”. This was the inspiration for young(ish). Our youth remains; the challenge comes in allowing ourselves to find it.
While our physical life may end, our spirit is infinitely eternal.
